Carousel By Michele Clark

by Michele Clark

circa 1990

This took Michele several years to complete. I hope she does more—it brightens a room.

Yarn/Longstich; original art.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

by Sharon Patrick

circa 1987

When Colin was very young, his two favorite television heroes were He-Man and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This, of course, belongs to Colin. All four turtles, each on a hand-made tile, then framed together.

Original art.

Castle Neuschwanstein By Jean Jacques Gretaux

Castle Neuschwanstein

by Jean Jacques Gretaux

circa 1965

Signed BG (for Buchschmid & Gretaux), this Geneva-born artist represented the very highest artistry of wood marquetry (the art of fine wood veneer inlay using various types of wood). Pieces signed BG are very rare and have gone up in value considerably (I saw one in Carmel at over $5,000). For me, liking castles, this is fabulous, done by a European artist who knows them.

Wood marquetry with handmade frame; original art.

by Barbara Morgan

circa 1990

Hand crocheted by my mother.

Original art.

Clark By Ann Young

by Ann Young

This pegasus has become a family crest, so I commissioned this art from an artist in Idyllwild, CA.

Handmade ceramic tile; original art.

by Michael Pari

We commissioned this stained glass for over the entry doorway to our home. Michael made several prototype drawings before we chose this.

Stained Glass; original art.
