Who's behind Sablestar

Sablestar is a product of Iterategy LLC, a software studio based in California. We build careful, well-designed software — products we'd want to use ourselves. Sablestar is one of them.

We're a small team. There's no brand voice hiding a faceless corporation here. The choices made in this product — the typography, the care about privacy, the refusal to fabricate testimonials or add fake scarcity — reflect how we prefer to build things.

Sablestar generates personalised natal chart readings. You give us your date, time, and place of birth; we compute your chart from real ephemeris data and write a multi-chapter interpretation of it.

The output is a designed PDF — a keepsake-quality document, not a printout. We set it in Cormorant Garamond and EB Garamond on warm parchment, and we mean for it to be something you can return to.

You can read a complete sample report before you buy. We think that matters.

The chart calculation is astronomical: we use the Swiss Ephemeris (via circular-natal-horoscope-js) to compute exact planetary positions, house cusps, and aspects for your birth moment. The math is the same math astronomers use. Your Sun is in the degree we say it's in.

The interpretation is where craft comes in. We use a large language model — the same family of models behind current AI assistants — carefully guided to synthesise your specific placements into prose rather than recite generic Sun-sign copy. Every chapter is written from the actual numbers in your chart: the sign, the house, the degree, which planets aspect which and how tightly.

The result will not be identical to another Gemini Sun reading or another Libra Moon reading. It will be about your Gemini Sun in your house, aspected by your other planets, in the context of the whole chart.

That said: astrology is not science. The astronomy is precise; the interpretation is symbolic and interpretive. We offer this for entertainment and self-reflection. The report is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, psychological, or financial advice. We say this clearly rather than burying it.

We won't publish testimonials we don't have. We won't add a countdown timer to a price that never changes. We won't tell you your chart reveals that something urgent is coming unless you act now. We won't charge you a subscription for something that doesn't require one.

We also won't pretend the report is more than it is. Astrology is a symbolic system. It has produced beautiful ideas for thousands of years. We respect it enough not to oversell it.

Your birth data is used to compute your chart and write your report. It's stored with your Stripe payment record so we can re-deliver your report if the link is lost. We don't sell it, share it with third parties beyond what's needed to run the service, or use it for advertising.
